The Divys, named after the late great Divine of early John Waters films, formed in April 2005 when guitarist KLiffee Ritz met singer William Rule through a local Philadelphia newspaper. They say opposites attract- KLiffee, from a more "rock" background, and William, having once worked for legendary dance producer Bobby "O" Orlando, have managed to merge together their different musical styles to create some very memorable and catchy pop tunes. In just over two years, The Divys have racked up some pretty impressive milestones: In September 2006, "Freddie Are You Single" took the Best Electronic Song Award in The John Lennon Songwriting Contest, www.jlsc.com/winners/2006a/winners.php and in November 2006 they won "Best Electronic Song" in the Song of the Year Contest which sponsors VH1's Save The Music, along with an Honorable Mention from The Billboard Song Contest. Give Up!
