During 1956-57 Louis Armstrong revisited many of the highpoints of his career, re-recording his classics from the 1920s and '30s while backed by augmented members of his All-Stars. Decca made a big production out of it, adding some slightly earlier All-Star performances; the result was a superb four-LP box set that is very much in need of being reissued on CD. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
