Howie B

This beautiful ambient space scape is a collaboration of Howie B (U2, Mayonnaise, Björk) and Húbert Nói (Artist, Sculptor, Filmmaker). Howie B first crossed paths with Húbert Nói in 1996 when Howie used Hubert's striking painting for the cover of Howie's release "Music for Babies". Húbert Nói came upon the idea for Music for Astronauts and Cosmonauts after hearing an interview with an Icelandic astronaut discussing and describing time and timing during a space mission. Howie B was fascinated by the concept strapped in and later called this his best work to date. Music for Astronauts and Cosmonauts is a real time soundtrack for a round journey in earths orbit (297 km above earth).The length of the tracks: Morning+Day+Evening+Night is 90 minutes (one round) that time-measure equals what takes 24 hours to see on earth (sunrise to sunrise).
