All Music Guide Review

Packaged like a box set, this compilation from Mercury contains Love to Love You Baby, A Love Trilogy, and Four Seasons of Love -- the three albums Donna Summer released during 1975 and 1976. Produced by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, they're patchy but not short on innovation, featuring the charting likes of "Love to Love You Baby," "Could It Be Magic," "Spring Affair," and "Winter Melody." While it's convenient to have these three albums rounded up and made available in one shot, the packaging is as cheap as it gets. The plastic rungs are flimsy and can't hold the discs, so the discs will slip out every time the set is handled. However, the individual booklets for each album are also contained, so you could put the discs in separate jewel cases -- only you'd be missing the tray cards that would display the spines and back covers. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
