    All Music Guide Review

In 1998 the Simitar label, a division of Warner Special Products, released several budget-priced discs featuring number one hits from the '60s, '70s and '80s, loosely based around such themes as Rock It Up, Lovin' Feelings and Party On. Each disc presents the original version of these popular singles on a 16-track CD. Number Ones: Smooth Love highlights include "Kiss on My List" (Hall & Oates), "Suddenly" (Billy Ocean), "Hold Me Now" (Thompson Twins) and "Living Inside Myself" (Gino Vannelli). Despite minor packaging flaws, Simitar's Number Ones is a decent budget-line series. ~ Al Campbell, All Music Guide
