Loosen Your Hold is the debut single from South's second album, With the Tides. This fabulous package, available from Double Dragon, may serve as an introduction to any listener unfamiliar with South's gossamer rock & round sound while also a good starting point to discover the brilliance that is With the Tides. While "Loosen Your Hold" is a song of many faces with its string arrangements, banjos, violins, and cellos, "Too Much Too Soon" and "Estimation" are much more stripped. For collector's purposes, this single is well deserved for the gorgeous work of New York City photographer Laura Hughes.
