Time-Life's Sounds of the Seventies: 1975 - Take Two picks up where Sounds of the Seventies: 1975 leaves off and collects 20 songs that made the year what it was, while drawing from a wide range of styles and genres. It provides both a fine introduction to the year's music and a highly entertaining exercise in nostalgia, and either way it is a blast. Like the first volume from 1975, this set has some early disco smashes like Shirley & Co.'s "Shame, Shame, Shame" and KC & the Sunshine Band's "Get Down Tonight" as well as the usual mix of rockers (Bachman-Turner Overdrive's "Roll on Down the Highway," Bad Company's "Movin' On"), soulful jams (War's "Low Rider," Earth, Wind & Fire's "Shining Star"), and one-shot artists (the Dwight Twilley Band's "I'm on Fire"). ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
