    David Copperfield: The Sound of Magic is a collection of urban and adult contemporary pop/rock by the likes of Seal, Genesis, Corey Hart, and Johnny Gill with the immaculately groomed magician's name on it. Listeners who are afraid of magic -- there is none to be found here -- and enjoy the works of Richard Marx, Sting, and the Cutting Crew will find a wealth of pleasure on this tossed-off Warner release. However, The Sound of Magic is worth the price alone for the awesome photo on the back jacket that depicts Copperfield flying through the air in the company of exactly four seagulls. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
