    All Music Guide Review

Spanning a few singles, remixes (originally by BT, Freestyle, and Elektronauts), and some great new tracks, Plump DJs fashioned a solid debut of nu breaks techno. The best songs here -- "Electric Disco," "No Way," and a remix of BT's "Smartbomb" -- combine pumping new-era acid house with frequent change-ups and a few chemical breaks to keep heads nodding. The direct connections to bygone dance styles like disco or house are tenuous at best, but like the best of the nu-breaks crews (Beber, Adam Freeland, Terry Francis), Plump DJs have no problem keeping up the energy level even while they're testing the limits of tough techno. One of the best debuts of the millennium. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
