Smashing Pumpkins have announced a number of tie-ins with next month's Guitar Hero: World Tour release, including an exclusive single ("G.L.O.W.," available as a downloadable song pack along with "1979" and "The Everlasting Gaze") and the ability to play the game as Billy Corgan. The Pumpkins classic "Today" is also part of the initial soundtrack. Guitar Hero: World Tour is set to hit stores in Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Wii formats on October 26.
In other Smashing Pumpkins news, the band is playing a series of twentieth anniversary shows in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and more throughout November.
