And talks about Dylan and Springsteen

Barack Obama appears on the cover of this week's Rolling Stone, taking some time out to discuss his listening habits, from the Rolling Stones to Elton John to his childhood hero, Stevie Wonder.

"I have pretty eclectic tastes," the presidential hopeful says in the story. "One of my favorites during the political season is [ Bob Dylan's] 'Maggie's Farm.' It speaks to me as I listen to some of the political rhetoric."

Another artist that pops up in Obama's iPod discussions is Bruce Springsteen, who recently spoke to the Democratic candidate over the phone.

"Not only do I love Bruce's music, but I just love him as a person,'' Obama says. ''He is a guy who has never lost track of his roots, who knows who he is, who has never put on a front.''
