While George Clooney's name has popped up more than usual in the press over the past few weeks due to his break up with girlfriend Sarah Larsen, the actor remains undaunted by personal issues and intently focused on his work. He is currently negotiating to star in The Tourist, a modern spy thriller about a man who is accused of a murder he didn't commit and stops at nothing to clear his good name. The film is being adapted by Warner Bros. from a novel written by Olen Steinhauer.
Clooney is set to produce the film. Anthony Peckham is currently working on the script. Clooney, no stranger to roles in which he plays a dashing man of mystery, seems like a natural fit for The Tourist.
