Controversial CSNY Doc Close to Domestic Release

    By Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions

CSNY—Déjà vu, a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young documentary directed by Neil Young himself, is close to a domestic distribution deal with Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions. Intended as a conversation starter of sorts in this election year, the film follows the group's 2006 Freedom of Speech tour with a heavy emphasis placed on anti-war songs, scenes and interviews with U.S. soldiers.

Once approved, the deal would have Roadside release the doc in 15 cities this July, with Lionsgate dropping a video-on-demand version through Netflix. A DVD would come out shortly before the elections. HDNet is also in talks about airing the film.
